The Wentworth Festival takes place in the grounds of Wentworth Woodhouse Stately Home, in the heart of the village of Wentworth, South Yorkshire. The house itself will act as back drop to the main performance arena. The postcode for Sat Nav’s is: S62 7TQ
Gates to the event will open at 11:00am. Entertainment will begin across the numerous performance stages between 12:00 and 1:00 pm.
The final act will come off stage at 9.30pm and the main arena will close at 10.00pm.
Should you wish to continue your evening, the village of Wentworth features two beautiful pubs/restaurants in the shape of The Rockingham Arms and The George & Dragon.
However, Wentworth is a small village so we ask politely that you respect the local residents as you make your way from the festival site.
Afraid not. There is a campsite about 3 miles away at Birdwell.
No, there are no cash machines nearby. The nearest cash machines will be in the neighbouring villages of Elsecar, Hoyland and Chapeltown. Card payments will be accepted on the main bar and on certain concession stalls, but as card payment machines rely heavily on mobile phone signal we would always advise that you bring enough cash with you to enjoy the day.
Wentworth Music Festival is an open air event in a countryside setting, so do please come prepared for whatever the good old British weather may throw at us – from raincoats to suncream and blankets to sun hats!
Fold-up chairs will be permitted however we do request that they be used in a specific area to the back of the arena so as to allow those who wish to sit on the grass full visibility of the stage. Please do not be offended if our stewards ask you to move or pack away your chair should they feel it is in an unsuitable location.
Children’s tents, tables, gazebos, windbreaks or any other tented structures WILL NOT be permitted.
Sealed bottled water and soft drinks are fine, as are small snacks.
Alcohol is STRICTLY NOT PERMITTED as this is a licensed venue.
No. Please ensure you have a designated driver and your vehicle is removed from site once the concerts are over.
Please also note people using the parking facilities do so purely at their own risk. Neither the organisers of Wentworth Music Festtval nor Wentworth Woodhouse will be responsible for any loss or damage caused to your vehicle.
Parking is FREE at this event. However, please do follow the instructions of our highly skilled and experienced traffic attendants. Their aim will be to get all vehicles parked up safely and as quickly as possible.
Only guide dogs may be permitted in to the main arena.
Wentworth Music Festival welcomes disabled festival goers and takes all reasonable measures to assist with their attendance and enjoyment of the event. At the same time, please be advised that the festival takes place in the open countryside and disabled guests should be aware that some areas of the main arena, car park and surrounding areas are fairly uneven and may be difficult to navigate. Marshals will be available to assist disabled guests in getting in to the main arena if required.
Disabled toilets will be available in the main arena.
There will indeed! We love our food and drink so can assure you there will be a wide selection of both.
Yes, our main bar will be run by our friends at Thornbridge Brewery and will be open from 11:00am until 9.00pm, just before the last act has finished on stage.
Please note: I.D. will be required at the bar if you are lucky enough to look under 25 as we operate a strict Challenge-25 policy.
Due to licensing restrictions, you are not permitted to bring alcohol into the festival. There will be a wide range of premium alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) drinks available for purchase from our bar and catering outlets. We also aim to make sure every bar and food outlet is very reasonably priced, therefore meaning there should be no need to bring in alcohol from elsewhere.
Please note: Only alcohol purchased from the licensed bar may be consumed on site. If you attempt to bring alcohol in it will be confiscated.
Small amounts of picnic are allowed, let’s face it the kids may not want an artisan burger, but please remember that safety is paramount. We can’t allow knives and forks, all plates must be paper and under no circumstances can we allow glass of any kind.
The final run-down for all stages will be available in the week leading up to the event.
Please be advised that the line-up or set times are subject to change should problems arise beyond our control. In the event of this, refunds will not be available.
